Accreditation
The governing body that oversees and approves therapists to gain accreditation in Schema therapy in the UK is the ISST (International Society for Schema therapy). To fulfil the criteria for basic as well as advanced accreditation as a schema therapist, with the ISST, you must attend both Modules1 and Module 2 (7 days in total) followed by a minimum number of supervision sessions provided by a certified schema therapy supervisor. The number of supervision sessions required will depend on whether you are opting for standard of advanced accreditation.
